Charles Edward Anderson "Chuck" Berry (October 18, 1926 – March 18, 2017)Chuck Berry is without a doubt a Rock 'N' Roll icon and his musical influence will live on forever! R.I.P. Mr. Berry!Chuck Berry - Johnny B. Goode
Chuck Berry - Rock And Roll Music
FYI....
A few interesting tid bits about CB___the early years-
He was known around music circles as kind of a `ruthless` character...ie...always demanding $$$ up^front for appearances in the venues where he played! But in later years...his Record Company received plenty of `royalty` money off of his CD's!

Apparently Chris had struggled with depression all of his life and was on anti-anxiety drugs at the time of his death, which initial coroners reports state was suicide by hanging. Very sad indeed, especially since he had a wife and 3 children. During the last song that he sang in concert shortly before his death, he added lyrics from Led Zeppelin's song "In My Time Of Dying". Very eerie. It also makes the music video for his song, "Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart", one of my favorites by him, very haunting since it depicts him being saved from a lynching in the old West.

George A. Romero, 'Night of the Living Dead' creator, dies at 77 www.latimes.com/entertainment/movies/la-me-george-romero-20170716-story.html"It was the night of April 4, 1968, and George A. Romero was driving to New York City from Pittsburgh on a mission: In the days to come he was to meet with film studios in hopes that one might buy the horror film he was lugging in his trunk, “Night of the Flesh Eaters.” None of the studios was interested, but Romero still managed to get his $114,000 film in front of audiences that year. And though critics panned the picture, retitled “Night of the Living Dead,” moviegoers were mesmerized — packing theaters, hitting the drive-ins in droves and making Romero the father of the modern movie zombie. Romero’s “Living Dead” franchise went on to create a subgenre of horror movie whose influence across the decades has endured, seen in movies like “The Purge” and TV shows like “The Walking Dead.” Romero died Sunday in his sleep after a “brief but aggressive battle with lung cancer,” according to a family statement to The Times provided by his longtime producing partner, Peter Grunwald. He was 77. Romero died while listening to the score of one his favorite films, 1952’s “The Quiet Man,” with his wife, Suzanne Desrocher Romero, and daughter, Tina Romero, at his side, the family said."R.I.P. George! See you on the other side.
